Conducting searches

Specialist documentation

The specialist documentation database offers a number of research options. A full-text search for terms will search all the dossiers and boxes, as well as the brochures that have been entered into the system individually. By accessing the database via the systematic classification according to main groups, users can navigate through the hierarchically structured topic tree to the dossier that they require.
The brochures/pamphlets and newspaper cuttings are stored in boxes. Dossiers are available on around 1'200 specialist topics. A dossier takes in a number of boxes, which are divided up according to content or on a chronological basis. The boxes can be ordered online and consulted in the reading room. Documents catalogued in NEBIS can also be ordered individually.

PresseDox

The PresseDox media database [available only in the reading room] offers a large number of search functions. It is possible to select individual sources or use a predefined classification (place names, names of people or subject areas) to optimise the search. A help menu provides assistance for searching the database.
